After testing the drain holes in the sunroof (they work), I am forced to test the whole car out in the rain to see if it still leaks. Luckily I have the dehumidifier ready to roll on the garage so if we come back with some bad news, I’ll be able to clean up and start troubleshooting again.
I’m fixing little inconveniences before I drop serious cash on my LOUVERSSSS!

I would not worry - that car has probably seen as many rainstorms as you have.

That’s what’s kind of amazing. Clearly leaked at some point before I bought it but headliner etc. look almost like they came right out of the factory. And judging from the lack of cracked plastic and only spot of faded paint, at the very least this car enjoyed covered parking for quite some time.

People don’t know how easy it is - have your mechanic blow out the sunroof drains with compressed air. Probably won’t even charge you.

But as far as I can tell the drains work — only way it could be them is if they are somewhat blocked and can’t drain fast enough to combat a larger downpoor or something. I suppose I should open the sunroof after a while outside and see if water is pooling.

Did not mean you specifically - anyone. And I suppose those drain tubes could have deteriorated over the years.
